EXPATS AND THAIS WANTING TO HELP DIRECTLY VICTIMS IN MYANMAR DISASTER

A group of Expatriates in Thailand are joining their hands and extending assistance to people in Myanmar after the Nargis cyclone that hit last week.
Olivier and Panida Gaiemet, Murielle Blanc, Malee Whitcraft and many more people in Bangkok are trying to bring assistance directly to Herve Flejo, a long time friend that is based in Myanmar since 15 years running a travel agency and has been using personal funds to go and assist families in crucial needs of everything since the cyclone hit Myanmar.
We have no doubt of his honesty and he has a team of 10 people that distribute almost daily food and clothing but he will be running out of funds very shortly due to the immense challenge ahead.
If you can donate in Bangkok / Thailand, what we urgently need are :
. Purification water tablets - HYDROCHLONOZONE 122 mg or equivalent
. Clothes
. Candles
. Plastic sheets
. Blankets
. Mosquito nets
. Water
. Cooking Oil
. Instant Noodles / Rice
. Medecines, Panadol, Betadyn and the likes
. Matches / Lighters
The people in Bangkok that are looking at assisting have knowledge of Myanmar and understand the difficulties ahead but have been in contact with key organizations to ensure that the aid will go directly to the people. This ad-hoc group in Bangkok on a daily basis will be updating and bring hopefully with more volunteer the set up of an association to assist at a larger scale when time permits.
A blog is already on line to assist Herve Flejo, it’s in French at the present and we are looking at creating a version in English as soon as we can. It’s a Charity Association that is raising funds in France to assist the homeless people in Myanmar
